Kris Allen Tickets – Kris Allen Tours with the Greats

One of the tried-and-true ways for an up-and-comer to learn the ropes of the music scene is to open for another great artist or band on tour. American Idol winner Kris Allen has apparently taken that advice to heart. Not only has he booked shows with multiple veterans, he has also done so in a variety of genres. The latter fact shows his wide appeal to fans in genres ranging from country to rock. The best way to see Kris Allen live at any of his many shows is to reserve Kris Allen tickets from StubHub.com.

Music fans tend to look forward to the summer concert season, and for good reason. On top of the many music festivals, summertime is also the time that numerous fairs are held across the country, attracting talent from many different styles. For a handful of fairs this summer, Kris Allen will be taking the stage with country star Keith Urban. They will be hitting dates like the California Mid State Fair in Paso Robles, Calif. on July 28; the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 13 in Des Moines, Iowa; the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, Ind. on Aug. 14 and the Great Allentown Fair in Allentown, Pa. on Sept. 3.

He isn’t looking at just wooing the country crowd, though. Allen has also lined up dates to open for the Barenaked Ladies this summer, along with fellow up-and-comer Angel Taylor. His stint with the Barenaked Ladies starts on July 8 at Harrah’s Council Bluffs in Council Bluffs, Iowa and continues on to cities like Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Phoenix, New York and more. The Barenaked Ladies are touring in support of their latest album, All in Good Time, which dropped in March 2010 and yielded the single “You Run Away.”

He has booked yet another music veteran to tour with for the end of the summer: Maroon 5. He will start his run with Maroon 5 on Aug. 19th at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami. From there, he will travel to Alpharetta, Ga.; Davidson, N.C. and Pittsburgh, Pa. with Maroon 5. The Adam Levine-fronted quintet is set to release their new album, Hands All Over, on Sept. 21, 2010.

Kris Allen released his first post-season album, a self-titled efforts, in November of 2009. It came on the heels of his American Idol victory, and his album didn’t disappoint his large fan base. He rocketed up the charts with his first single “Live Like You Were Dying.” His second single, “The Truth,” features Train’s Pat Monahan, who also co-wrote the track. Some controversy stirred because of his label’s decision to release the song as a duet, but Allen didn’t let it get to him.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Allen talked about the single—among other subjects—and he said of the controversy, “The people I work with are really great. The people at 19 and the people at Jive have been great. I’m not gonna say there haven’t been things that have happened, some conflicts. Not bad stuff — I think it’s just general stuff that goes on between artists and labels or whatever.” Allen will get to perform the song by himself on tour, which seems like exactly what his fans wanted.
